Curriculum Vitae

He graduated from Marmara University School of Medicine in 1991 and completed general surgery training at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1996. He has practiced at Florence Nightingale Hospital since 1996 and has served as an associate professor at Demiroğlu Bilim University since 2021.

Born in 1967, he completed primary education in Istanbul, graduated from Pertevniyal High School in 1984, and entered Marmara University School of Medicine the same year. He completed medical school in English, graduated in 1991, and completed general surgery residency at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine.

He qualified as a general surgeon in 1996. His thesis examined nitric oxide pathway inhibition in radiation enteritis. The same year he joined Şişli Florence Nightingale Hospital as a staff general surgeon.

From 2002 to 2004 he served as a lecturer and acting chair of general surgery at Kadir Has University. In 2013 he transferred to Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital, where he continues to practice. In 2021 he joined Demiroğlu Bilim University School of Medicine as an assistant professor of general surgery; since 2023 he has continued there as an associate professor.

He performs advanced laparoscopic and robotic general surgery, with a focus on colorectal and hepatopancreatobiliary operations.
