Assoc. Prof. Cengiz Dibekoğlu, MD, provides care in advanced laparoscopic and robotic general surgery at Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital.
Born in 1967, he completed primary education in Istanbul, graduated from Pertevniyal High School in 1984, and entered Marmara University School of Medicine the same year. He completed medical school in English, graduated in 1991, and began residency in General Surgery at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine.
In 1996 he became a general surgery specialist with an experimental thesis on nitric oxide pathway inhibition in radiation enteritis. The same year he joined Şişli Florence Nightingale Hospital as a staff general surgeon.
From 2002 to 2004 he served as a lecturer and acting chair of general surgery at Kadir Has University. In 2013 he transferred to Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital, where he continues to practice.
He has been among the early adopters of Da Vinci robotic general surgery in Türkiye, and continues to develop and perform advanced laparoscopic and robotic procedures.
