This page lists dated updates to patient-education content. Each entry follows guideline or site-audit review; it does not replace the general review date shown on individual pages.
TaTME as its own topic
TaTME now has its own page, separate from TAMIS. The figure shows a laparoscope, hook and dissector from above meeting cautery from below in the pelvis. No better-outcome claim is made.
TAMIS — natural orifice and single port
The TAMIS page now leads with anal-canal access without an abdominal incision, and with selected single-port robotic setup. TAMIS is not described as TaTME, and no outcome superiority is claimed.
Return-to-activity table and surgery-specific question lists
Added a single patient-guide table for return to work, driving, swimming, travel, and intimacy by operation type. Major surgery pages now include “questions to ask your surgeon” blocks.
Navigation and locale-switch audit
Added missing Turkish topic pages and chapter language links for colonoscopy, spleen, soft-tissue, and achalasia. Fistula technique and major abdominal surgery subpages are now visible in the side menu.
Colonoscopy topic pages (TR + EN)
Dedicated preparation, procedure, and aftercare chapters with therapeutic polypectomy/stent/decompression content and screening cross-links. The Turkish overview page includes a physician approach block.
Stoma nutrition — fluid/sodium balance
Clarified ileostomy fluid guidance: hypotonic fluids, ORS planning, high output, and dehydration red flags — with matching EN copy.
Rectal cancer — TNT and watch-and-wait
Aligned TNT and watch-and-wait chapters with guideline language; softened wording that implied radiation for every rectal cancer.
