Voice, calcium, hormones, and follow-up
After discharge, focus on wound care, voice changes, hypocalcemia warning signs, and thyroid hormone adjustment. Total thyroidectomy requires levothyroxine; dose is tuned to TSH. Cancer pathology may trigger additional therapy.
