Liver Disease — Viral Hepatitis
Hepatitis B, C, and chronic risk
Viral hepatitis—especially B and C—can cause acute or chronic liver inflammation. Chronic disease raises cirrhosis and HCC risk. Hepatitis A is usually self-limited; hepatitis B has an effective vaccine; modern oral antivirals cure most hepatitis C.
